Know Where You Stand
Assessment gives you an independent, operator-led view of a hospitality business, whether you are buying it, investing in it or already running it. Our audits are carried out by hospitality veterans, not generic auditors, and measure standards, controls and financial performance against what the operation should be delivering. Scope is set around each business, from a single audit to a full pre-purchase review.
Findings are ranked by commercial impact, so you can see what matters most and what each issue is costing you. Every assessment ends with a clear, practical action plan and agreed priorities for you and your team. Where you want support to deliver it, our consulting, management and learning and development services continue the work from the same findings, with the same people who carried out the assessment.

Our mystery audits are carried out by hospitality veterans, not generic auditors, across hotel stays, restaurants, bars, cafés, coffee shops and quick-service venues, along with test calls covering reservations and event enquiries. Each audit follows the guest’s full experience, from first contact to departure, and can measure performance against your brand, franchise or in-house standards. Every site is scored individually, with reports delivered within a set turnaround. Each report includes a trend analysis comparing every section and sub-section against previous audits, so you can see where standards are improving and where they are slipping.

Before you buy or invest in a hospitality business, we look at it the way an operator would. We start with the real trading picture, stripping out one-off and owner costs, then work through gross profit, labour, stock, supplier terms, staffing, compliance and licensing. From there, we assess the condition of the kitchen, front of house and guest areas, and the capital spend needed over the first three years under new ownership. You receive a findings report on the risks, the upside and the points worth raising in negotiation, along with a 100-day plan for your first months of trading. Throughout, we work alongside your solicitor, accountant and surveyor, who handle the legal, tax and structural advice.

Our Hotel Food & Beverage Control Audit is a full review of F&B margin, cost control and fraud risk across the entire F&B cycle, from purchase order to the guest’s bill. We examine purchasing and supplier pricing, goods receiving, stock control and storage, internal issues between outlets, POS data, discounts, voids, refunds and complimentary items, looking for the gaps where margin is lost without anyone noticing. Every finding is quantified where the data allows, so you can see what each control gap is costing the hotel and which ones to close first. The audit finishes with a six-month action plan, setting out clear priorities, responsibilities and timelines for your F&B and finance teams to work through together.

We compare your revenue, costs, margins and operating performance against industry standards and comparable hospitality businesses in your market. You will see clearly where you are ahead, where you are losing ground, and which gaps carry the most commercial value to close.
